About CIC:
The CIC® examination is the standardized measure of the basic knowledge, skills and abilities expected of professionals working in the field of infection prevention and control. The initial certification exam is an objective, multiple-choice examination consisting of 150 questions. 135 of these questions are used to compute the score. The initial certification is good for 5 years. To certify for CIC, you must apply online <https://cbic.execinc.com/edibo/CertificationApp> and pay an application fee of $375.

About the Preparatory Course:
This LIVE virtual course is suitable for anyone preparing to take the CIC examination or the CIC recertification exam. In this course, we explore key concepts relevant to all eight foundational examination modules for the CIC examination. Through introductions to key IPC concepts and answering past questions, we provide a framework for correctly answering test questions and identifying areas of improvement. We further prepare students for the exam by providing recommended reading material (APIC text), instructor and past student-developed flashcards, and an interactive study planner.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to identify which modules they are most proficient in, their areas of improvement, and will be able to develop an individualized strategy and plan to pass their exam.
